The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) is
looking for a RESEARCH ASSISTANT interested in international
and labour economics.
Major tasks:
- Assisting in applied empirical research in the field of labour
economics, migration, technologies, and digitalisation
- Review of the existing literature in the field
- Collecting, cleaning and merging of available databases, such
as from LFS and EU-SILC
- Assisting the project team with econometric modelling
Requirements:
- Economics student
- Expertise in migration and labour economics; digital economics
and technologies is an advantage
- Interest in applied economic research
- Good quantitative and econometric skills (use of MS Office,
Stata and/or R)
- Knowledge of both conventional and heterodox economic analyses
- Excellent English (written and oral); knowledge of East
European languages is an advantage
- Flexibility as well as ability to work in team
The position is limited to six months. Start: April 2022

Monthly remuneration (14 times a year) for the 20 weekly hours
position will be € 1,073.70 gross or above, depending on
