Presentation and Discussion of the EBRD Transition Report 2023-24

Dear Madam or Sir,

We would like to invite you to the following event on Wednesday:

Presentation and discussion of the EBRD Transition Report 2023-24

This year's Transition Report, entitled “Transitions big and small”, discusses the ways in which the profound structural changes in the global economy are impacting the lives, livelihoods and living conditions of people in the EBRD regions. Among other things, it focuses on the transition to a sustainable economy, the transformation of global supply chains and global competition for raw materials that are a prerequisite for a more digitalized and “green” economy.

The report is based on data from the fourth round of the Life in Transition Survey, a household survey conducted in 2022 and 2023. The aim was to identify trends in how the above-mentioned global upheavals are reflected in so-called “small transitions” such as career changes, changes in physical and mental health, the renovation of homes - and even changes in people's life satisfaction.

After opening remarks by Director General Harald Waiglein, EBRD Chief Economist Beata Javorcik will present key findings from the Transition Report 2023-24 at the Ministry of Finance. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.

The event will be held in English.
