Dear Sir / Madame,
We would like to invite you to our next event of the Jour Fixe
seminar series of the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy
and Research.
On Tuesday 11.02.2020, 12:00 - 13:30
Michael Fuchs
Tamara Premrov
Title: Non-take-up of minimum income benefits in Austria
Michael Fuchs and Tamara Premrov investigated whether the reform
2010/11 which replaced monetary social assistance by minimum
income benefit was successful in terms of the facilitated access
to the benefit. For the analysis, they used the tax-/benefit
microsimulation model EUROMOD/SORESI based on EU-SILC data. The
present study complements the existing literature in two ways:
first, it offers an insight into the development of the target
efficiency of benefits of last resort in Austria. Second, it
explores the relevance of different measures embedded in the
reform.
