the OeNB will host the „Economics of Payments XIII” conference on September 25-27 and we would like to open the opportunity for interested colleagues to join and participate.

It is possible to attend only parts of the conference.

The Economics of Payments conference features academic contributions in payments and money.

Keynote presentations will be given by Piero Cipollone, Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank and Chairman of the High-Level Task Force on Digital Euro, and by Jean Charles Rochet, Toulouse School of Economics.

The first day of the conference will feature sessions that are organized in collaboration with the conference “Advances in Financial Technologies” with the goal of fostering an interdisciplinary exchange of views regarding technological aspects of payment innovations. This day will feature keynotes from Neha Narula, Digital Currency Initiative at MIT, and from Charles M. Kahn, University of Illinois, as well as a panel discussion on “Security and Privacy of Payments”, culminating in an evening reception and poster session.
