The euro area economy has experienced extraordinary volatility in recent years. How have European households benefited from the unprecedented growth in real estate on the one hand, and reacted to the economic shocks of the Covid-19 on the other?

The upcoming SUERF I Národná banka Slovenska I Baffi Bocconi workshop on “Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS)” will shed light on these and many other questions. Experts from the Household Finance and Consumption Network will reflect on the main changes in the financial situation of euro area households between the 2017 and 2021 waves of the Household Finance and Consumption Survey data.
