Horizontal Europeanization and the double dualization of European societies - the case of labour relations
presented by Prof. Dr. Susanne Pernicka and Dr. Vera Glassner

Location: Seminar Room at the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy
and Research, Berggasse 17, 1090 Vienna

Prof. Pernicka and Dr. Glasser will take a sociological perspective on Europeanization processes, refering to sociological Neo-Institutionalism and Bourdieusian concepts of social fields and spaces to analyse conflicts over material and symbolic resources and their impact on patterns of social inequality. Focusing on the case of labour relations, they aim to provide insights into the preconditions and consequences of asymmetrical European integration processes.
