Dear Colleague,
We cordially invite you to the wiiw seminar 'Policy Perspectives for European Integration' on
Monday, 27 March 2017, 5 pm
wiiw, Rahlgasse 3, 1060 Vienna, lecture hall (entrance from the ground floor)
Panel discussion on the post-2020
Multi-annual Financial Framework of the EU
Participants of the panel discussion will be:
Margit Schratzenstaller-Altzinger (WIFO),
Tamás Szemlér (National University of Public Service, Budapest) and
Sándor Richter (wiiw).
The discussion will be moderated by Michael Landesmann (wiiw)
Abstract
The loss of the UK as one of the most important net contributors to the EU budget because of Brexit, the diverging views over the solution of the refugee crisis and the interpretation of solidarity among EU members, and the conflict between supporters of deeper EU integration and those opposing it will make the negotiations about the post-2020 Multi-annual Financial Framework extremely difficult. In this panel discussion an attempt will be made to identify the most critical issues to be expected and to address possible solutions to the likely emerging conflicts.
We kindly ask you to register for the event. Participation is free of charge.
(Papers and presentation slides, as far as available, are posted on our homepage http://wiiw.ac.at/events.html after the respective seminars.)
Best regards,
Univ. Prof. Dr. Michael Landesmann Dr. Sándor Richter
