I would like to share a doctoral position embedded in a collaboration between Wien Energie and the Institute for Sustainable Economic Development at BOKU University. I would be grateful if you could forward this opportunity to interested students or relevant networks.

The position is part of a small quantitative analysis team at Wien Energie and comes with permanent employment. The successful candidate will initially pursue a doctorate at BOKU within the Land Use and Energy Group, working closely with Assoc. Prof. Johannes Schmidt.

The research focuses on spatial aspects of renewable energy integration in energy system models and takes an explicitly economic perspective, both on the energy systems being analyzed and on the modelling approaches themselves. The work is applied, with strong links to real-world investment decisions and offers the opportunity to publish in journals with high visibility and impact within the energy systems research community.
