CALL FOR PAPERS
12th European Seminar on Bayesian Econometrics (ESOBE)
Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, Austria
September 8–9, 2022
The 12th European Seminar on Bayesian Econometrics (ESOBE, esobe.org), one
of the major conferences in econometrics worldwide and the primary event on Bayesian econometrics in Europe, will be hosted by the Department of Economics, Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, in cooperation with the Austrian Economic Association (NOeG), in
Salzburg, Austria on September 8–9 2022.
In this workshop, we honor Herman van Dijk for his contributions to Bayesian econometrics by organizing a special session. Papers presented at the conference may be submitted for publication
in a special issue of Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics in honor of Herman K. van Dijk (see the Call
for Papers).
You are invited to submit a paper for the contributed paper sessions as well as the poster sessions. We welcome submissions from all fields of Bayesian econometrics (macro, micro and
financial), as well as papers on statistical methodology, machine learning and computing. Ph.D. students and researchers who received their Ph.D. after August 2017 may apply for a special "young researchers" session. Researchers selected for this session
will receive a travel support grant of up to EUR 500. Interested candidates must attach a CV with their submission.
Please submit a full working paper or an extended abstract to esobe2022@plus.ac.at by April
30 2022. Please enter “Submission” in the subject line and include your contact information in the email. If you would like to be considered for the young researchers session, please indicate this in your submission. We will notify authors of accepted
papers by late May 2022. Registrations, which will be subject to a registration fee, will open in early June 2022.
Our aim is to hold the conference as an in-person event. If epidemiological conditions deteriorate, we might have to move to an online format on short notice. Up-to-date information
on the conference format, travel and accommodation can be found on the ESOBE 2022 website.
