High Level Meeting:

Trade Policy beyond the Inflection Point:
Economic Implications for Austria

Hello,

The Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are pleased to invite you to a high-level exchange about trade policy beyond the Inflection Point.

Conference Outline

Rising trade barriers create uncertainty for investment decisions, at a moment of enormous investment needs for the green transition, security and defence, and digitalization driven by AI. This event examines Austria's position through three perspectives: monetary policy implications, investment financing under uncertainty, and patterns in global capital movements.

The discussion will bring together Marie-Valerie Brunner (Board Member, RBI), Martin Kocher (Governor, OeNB) and Karl Nehammer (Vice President, EIB), and complemented by expert inputs from economists and the European Investment Bank.

A first draft of the agenda can be found here.
