Der neue FIW-Research Report von Yvonne Wolfmayr und Michael Pfaffermayr (WIFO) beschäftigt sich mit den Effekten und Potentialen der EU-Dienstleistungsrichtlinie.

Abstract: The biggest reform step to date in the liberalisation and deepening of the EU internal market for services was taken with the EU Services Directive. Its implementation intended to provide a clear impetus for the removal of existing obstacles to the free movement of services, the freedom of establishment of services providers and for administrative simplification. The project quantifies the Directive's effects on Austrian and EU services trade and welfare but also highlights untapped potentials due to remaining administrative barriers and existing weaknesses in the implementation and enforcement of the Single Market rules. The estimation relies on a structural gravity model estimated on a disaggregated industry level.

Für Studien, für die Daten des Austrian Micro Data Center (AMDC) benötigt werden (das betrifft v.a. „Demografie der österreichischen Außenwirtschaftsstruktur“ und „Frauen in der österreichischen Außenwirtschaft“), gilt: Sollte innerhalb der Einreichungsfrist eine endgültige Klärung der Zurverfügungstellung der erforderlichen Daten durch das AMDC nicht möglich sein, ist die Legung eines bedingten Anbots möglich. In diesem Fall sind (a) die geschätzten Kosten für die Datenzurverfügungstellung durch das AMDC und (b) der voraussichtliche Zeitpunkt der Klärung der offenen Fragen mit dem AMDC in das Anbot aufzunehmen.

Save the Date - Präsentation aktueller FIW-Studien zu Unternehmerischer Verantwortung am 30.08.2022, 11:00 bis 12:30 Uhr

 

das Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Wirtschaft hat im vergangen Jahr drei Studien zum Thema Unternehmerische Verantwortung bzw. Lieferkettenverantwortung in Auftrag gegeben.

Diese Studien werden am 30.08.2022 von 11:00 bis 12:30 Uhr im Rahmen einer Online-Veranstaltung präsentiert und diskutiert.

 

Die Studientitel lauten (Auftragnehmer in Klammer):

 

Im Anschluss an die Studienpräsentationen stehen die StudienautorInnen für Fragen der Teilnehmenden zur Verfügung.

For studies that require data from the Austrian Micro Data Center (AMDC) (this applies in particular to "Demography of Austrian Foreign Trade" and "Women in Austrian Foreign Trade"), the following applies: If final clarification of the provision of the required data by the AMDC is not possible within the submission deadline, the submission of a conditional offer is possible. In this case, (a) the estimated cost of data provision by AMDC and (b) the expected date of clarification of the outstanding issues with AMDC shall be included in the bid.

Save the Date - Presentation of current FIW studies on corporate responsibility on 30.08.2022, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

Last year, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economic Affairs commissioned three studies on the topic of corporate responsibility and supply chain responsibility.

These studies will be presented and discussed at an online event on Aug. 30, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

The study titles are (contractor in parentheses):

- Supply chain responsibility in Austria: overview of different regulatory projects on corporate due diligence in a human rights context (FHWien of WKW).

- Doing Well by Doing Good: Responsible Entrepreneurship as a Competitive Advantage of Austrian Companies (WIFO).

- The role of modern technologies, especially blockchain, in supply chain responsibility (ABC Research).

 

Following the study presentations, the study authors will be available to answer questions from participants.

 

More detailed information on the content of the event and registration will follow in the coming weeks.
