The 10th SUERF/UniCredit Foundation Research Prize
“Crypto assets and decentralized finance – what way forward?
What implications for traditional finance? How to regulate and supervise?”
Deadline for Submissions: 31 October 2022

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit a paper for the 10th SUERF/UniCredit Foundation Research Prize on the topic “Crypto assets and decentralized finance – what way forward? What implications for traditional finance? How to regulate and supervise?”.

Prizes of €2,500 will be awarded to up to two outstanding papers. The winning authors will present their papers at a SUERF/UniCredit Foundation Conference to be held in Milan (or in a webinar/e-conference) in 1H23.

This Call for papers invites original research – theoretical or empirical, academic or policy-oriented – relating to the topic “Crypto assets and decentralized finance – what way forward?”, examples for research themes are the following:

o Market evolution and structure

o Market participation: investors and intermediaries

o Price formation and volatility in crypto assets, market functioning

o Financial stability, regulation and supervision

o Crypto assets, DeFi and their wider implications
