Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year):B1, € 2.505,20
Responsibilities:
Collaboration in the research project FORLand on the land use behavior of farms
Collaboration in the research project GHGFarm on the greenhouse gas emmission efficiency of farms
Collaboration in teaching
Presentation of research results at relevant scientific conferences (national, international)
Publication activities in international scientic journals
Required skills and qualifications:
Diploma degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics or other equivalent university degree
Excellent in German and English
Interest in economic and ecological issues in the field of agriculture
Experience in handling large amounts of data
Knowledge and experience in the application of quantitative research methods in economics (data analysis, mathematical optimization, econometrics)
Programming skills in R, STATA, GAUSS or other statistical software
Desired skills and qualifications:
Knowledge of modelling greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural operations
Experience in productivity and efficiency analysis (data envelopment analysis, stochastic frontier analysis)
Solid knowledge of microeconomic theory of production
Knowledge and experience in mathematical optimization (especially linear programming)
Knowledge and experience with regression analysis
Ability to work in a team
to complete a doctoral program in social science and economic at BOKU is desired
