Postdoctoral Research Officers on Economic Inequality

Department of Social Policy and Intervention and Institute for New Economic Thinking, Oxford

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention and the Institute for New Economic Thinking, University of Oxford are recruiting two Research Officers to investigate the complex dynamic drivers and consequences of rising economic inequality across the economic, social and political spheres. The successful applicants will be part of the Oxford team led by Professor Brian Nolan working on the multi-year collaborative research programme DINA together with teams led by Professor Thomas Piketty (Paris School of Economics) and Professor Emmanuel Saez (Berkeley), supported by a Synergy Grant from the European Research Council.

Applicants should have a PhD, preferably in economics, social policy, sociology, political science, demography or another relevant social science discipline, with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis. (Those very close to completion may also be considered).
