JVI Webinar Series

 

To support our member countries in their efforts to deal with the economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the JVI has launched a new webinar series.

 

The next webinar will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 15.00 – 16.30 Vienna time (CET),

and will focus on:

 

Covid-19 and the Macroeconomic Outlook for Europe

 

Laura Papi, Assistant Director in the IMF’s European Department, will present the IMF’s Spring 2020 World Economic Outlook-vintage forecasts for Europe. She will be joined by Julia Woerz, Head of the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European Analysis Unit, Foreign Research Division, in the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), who will present the OeNB’s Spring forecasts for Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, and by Richard Grieveson, Deputy Director of the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw), who will present the wiiw’s recent projections for Eastern Europe.

 

The webinar will be moderated by myself and Alexei Miksjuk (both JVI)

 

Participants are encouraged to ask written questions to the presenters using the webinar’s chat forum.

 

The webinar will be held in English.
