Dear colleagues,

We have the pleasure of inviting you to our upcoming event  on `ESG and climate risk management framework for the financial sector` co-organized by WU's Institute for Ecological Economics and SUERF, which will take place  on Wednesday, 29 May 2024.

The event is planned both, online via live stream and onsite at the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).

Motivation
Climate change and the risks that it poses for economic development and financial stability entered the agendas of a growing number of central banks, financial supervisors, and of investors, who are increasingly required to assess their climate-related financial risks using climate scenarios and climate stress-tests. However, the understanding of climate risk assessment frameworks, and their related challenges and opportunities, is often limited.
