Dear Sir / Madame,
We would like to kindly remind you of the International Seminar of
the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research:
"Workplace Innovation as a Form of Social Innovation in the
Workplace", presented by Peter Oeij, Senior Research Scientist at
TNO, The Netherlands Organisation of Applied Research.
Date: Tuesday, 12 July 2016, 16:30 - 18:00
Location: Seminar Room at the European Centre for Social Welfare
Policy and Research,
Berggasse 17, 1090 Vienna
Research among 51 companies across Europe dealt
with the question if and how work organisations develop and
implement workplace innovation (WPI). WPI is innovation by
applying human talents and organisational renewal. The purpose
of WPI is to enhance not only productivity and performance, but
also the quality of work of employees. This session will discuss
the findings of the study, and the implications it may have for
other work organisations. In the (interactive) discussion it
seeks to link with the broader notion of social innovation: what
is ‘social’ about WPI and in what way does it address ‘social
issues’ ?
Peter Oeij
is senior research scientist at TNO, The Netherlands
Organisation of Applied Research, and preparing a PhD on team
dynamics and innovation. He is participating in the EU SI-Drive
project, ‘Social Innovation; Driving Force of Social Change’,
particularly in the field of Employment.
