Dear colleagues,

COVID-19 is causing serious health, social and economic challenges, several of which are directly related to demographic factors. While the initial efforts focus on slowing the spread of the pandemic and mitigating its immediate impact, there are likely to be significant longer-term demography-related consequences.

The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital is dedicating it’s annual conference to the COVID-19 pandemic and it‘s demographic aspects.

The conference offers a scientific platform for presenting and discussing in a timely fashion the contributions demographic research can make in resolving the present and future challenges that arise from the pandemic.

Please find attached the Call for Papers for the Wittgenstein Centre Conference 2020 on “Demographic Aspects of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its Consequences”

The call is open until 31 July 2020. The conference will take place from 30 November to 1 December 2020 in Vienna, Austria.

We would be very grateful if you could distribute this information within your networks.

With kind regards

The organising team
