Dear all,

WWTF is happy to announce a call (as a pilot call) for projects in the Empirical Social Sciences with a focus on quantitative data research. Please find more info at https://www.wwtf.at/funding/programmes/ESS/#ESS22

We would like to invite project proposals in the area of social science research that wants to work with larger data sets based on quantitative methods. The call is open to all topics in social sciences.
This call also provides an opportunity/funding to work with microdata of the recent Austria Microdata Center at Statistik Austria, which will start its operations on July 1. We would encourage you to look at the available data there.
Furthermore, the call also invites research that wants to work with other large data sets. For more details, have a look athttps://www.wwtf.at/funding/programmes/ESS/#ESS22 in the Call Fiche and Call Specifications.

We are also happy that this call is again part of the Joint Project Agreement with Lower Austria which allows for a higher share of financing of institutions in Lower Austria. Please also consider this opportunity. To all researchers outside Vienna and Lower Austria: You can participate in this call, however, the PI must be affiliated to an institution based in Vienna (and partners outside of Vienna – with the exception of Lower Austria – can only receive 20% max. of the project’s total budget). These collaboration partners may be located in the Bundesländer other than Vienna and Lower Austria, or abroad.

The deadlines for this call are:

There will be an information event on June 23, 2022 from 1pm-3pm. There, we will inform you about the call and answer your questions. There will also be a representative of the Austria Microdata Center of Statistics Austria attending to answer questions about the AMDC.
