Dear Colleagues,

last week, the 2017 Impact Factor (JCR) for Springer Journals has been released.

Fortunately, the IF for Empirica- Journal of European Economics has increased to 0.706 from 0.658 (2016).  This means a further improvement since the first ranking in 2013 (IF 0.160).

As Managing Editor I am happy about the good performance of Empirica which is not at least the merit of your active participation in submitting (and reviewing) papers to (of) our journal. Of course, there is still room for improvement until our journal ranks at the top of Springers list.

I wish you a nice summer time.

Best regards,
Fritz Breuss
