Liebe Studierende der WU,

seit meiner Email von letzter Woche haben mich zahlreiche Nachrichten von euch erreicht – danke für euer Feedback und eure Offenheit.

Es ist mir ein großes Anliegen, den Campus so sicher wie möglich zu machen. Dazu wurden in den letzten Tagen viele Gespräche mit Lehrenden, Studierenden und der ÖH geführt. Um für die (Abschluss-) Prüfungen, die nächste Woche (24.-29.1.2022) am WU Campus stattfinden, eine Prüfungsumgebung zu schaffen, die auch den unterschiedlichen Ausprägungen der Risikoaversion und den unterschiedlichen Impfstati unserer Studierenden gerecht wird, wird eine wichtige Anpassung vorgenommen, so dass für diese Zeit für alle Präsenz-Prüfungen die 2,5G+-Regel gilt.

Was bedeutet das konkret?

· Für die Teilnahme an Präsenz-Prüfungen ist zwischen 24. und 29.01.2022 der Nachweis eines negativen PCR-Tests erforderlich, der nicht älter als 48 Stunden ist. Dies gilt also auch für Personen die geimpft oder genesen sind.

· Die 2,5G+-Regel gilt für alle Präsenz-Prüfungen in diesem Zeitraum, d.h. sowohl für die Prüfungen der Großprüfungswoche wie auch für andere Prüfungen, bspw. im Rahmen von Lehrveranstaltungen. Da wir hierzu das Gebäude TC flächendeckend kontrollieren werden, gilt 2,5G+ auch für die Lernzonen und alle anderen Lehrveranstaltungen (ohne Präsenz-Prüfung) in diesem Gebäude.

· Die Nachweise werden beim Betreten des Prüfungsraums bzw. des Gebäudes TC kontrolliert.

Was tun, wenn zu einem Prüfungstermin noch kein aktuelles PCR-Test Ergebnis vorliegt?

· Uns ist bewusst, dass es derzeit bei PCR-Tests zu Verzögerungen bei der Auswertung und Übermittlung kommen kann. Kann glaubhaft gemacht werden, dass das PCR-Testergebnis nicht rechtzeitig ausgewertet wurde, darf alternativ ein negatives Antigen-Testergebnis vorgelegt werden, das nicht älter als 24 Stunden ist.

· Bitte erkundigt euch rechtzeitig über die verschiedenen Testmöglichkeiten, z.B. in Wien (Alles gurgelt, PCR-Gurgelboxen, Teststraßen), über "Österreich testet" (z.B. Rotunden Apotheke bei der U2-Station Messe-Prater, geöffnet Montag bis Sonntag) oder bei der ÖH-WU Teststraße.

Unverändert bleiben für diesen Zeitraum die Sicherheitsmaßnahmen, was das Betreten der anderen Gebäude der WU (Ausnahme TC – siehe oben) für andere Zwecke als zur Prüfung (z.B. lernen in der Bibliothek, Teilnahme an Lehrveranstaltungen ohne Prüfung in einem Departmentgebäude, nutzen der PC-Räume) angeht. Hier gilt bis auf Weiteres die 2,5G-Regel und durchgehende FFP2-Maskenpflicht.

Dear WU students,

since my email last week, I have received numerous messages from you - thank you for your feedback and openness.

It is very important to me to make the campus as safe as possible. For this purpose, many discussions have been held with teachers, students and the student body ÖH over the past few days. In order to create an exam environment for the (final) exams that will take place next week (Jan 24-29, 2022) on campus that also does justice to the different forms of risk aversion and the different vaccination statuses of our students, an important adjustment will be made: during the time of in-person exams the 2.5G+ rule will apply.

What does this mean specifically?

· Sitting in-person exams during this period is only possible upon presentation of a negative PCR test result that is no more than 48 hours old (at the time of entering the exam room).

· The 2.5G+ rule applies to all on-campus exams during this period, i.e. to the exams of the large-scale exam week as well as to other exams, e.g. in the context of courses. Since we will be checking the entire TC Building for this purpose, the 2.5G+ rule will also apply to the learning zones and all other courses (without in-person exams) in this building.

· The test certificates will be checked when entering the exam room or the TC Building.

What should I do if I do not have a valid PCR test result by the exam date?

· We are aware that there may currently be delays in analyzing and receiving PCR test results. If you can present plausible proof that you do not have a negative PCR test result because of delays caused by the authorized testing facilities or authorities, you may be granted an exception to sit an exam when you can present a negative anti-gen test result instead. Please note that the anti-gen test must be taken within 24 hours before the exam.

· Please inquire in a timely manner about the different testing options, e.g. in Vienna (Alles gurgelt, PCR-Gurgelboxen, Teststraßen), via "Österreich testet" (e.g. Rotunden Apotheke near U2-Station Messe-Prater, open Monday to Sunday) or at the ÖH-WU Teststraße.

During this period, the security measures regarding access to other WU buildings (except the TC Building as stated above) for purposes other than exams (e.g. studying in the library, attending courses without exams in a department building, using the PC rooms) remain unchanged. For the time being, the 2.5G rule and mandatory FFP2 masks apply.
