Liebe Studierende,

wir freuen uns, euch die Preisträger*innen der Exzellenten und Innovativen Lehre 2022 mitzuteilen. Bei der Exzellenten Lehre spielt ihr eine besondere Rolle, da ihr durch eure Nominierungen und Begründungen maßgeblich mitentscheidet. Auch in diesem Jahr haben 3.321 Studierende diese Gelegenheit wahrgenommen und besonders engagierte und motivierte Lehrende der WU nominiert. Auf Basis eurer Nominierungen und Begründungen sowie der LV-Evaluierungsergebnisse und Syllabi hat eine unabhängige Jury zehn exzellente Lehrende gekürt, die durch ihre herausragende Lehre optimale Bedingungen für das Lernen schaffen.

Die Auszeichnungen für die Exzellente Lehre gehen dieses Jahr an:

· Nigel Reynard, Department für Fremdsprachliche Wirtschaftskommunikation

· Gerhard Speckbacher, Department of Strategy and Innovation

· Julia Told, Department für Privatrecht

· Nils Wlömert, Department für Marketing

Ergänzend zu der Exzellenten Lehre wird auch jedes Jahr der Preis für Innovative Lehre verliehen. Dieser stand 2022 unter dem Schwerpunkt „Internationales Lehren und Lernen“. In diesem Sinne wurden Lehrveranstaltungskonzepte prämiert, welche innovative Lehr- und Lernmethoden einsetzen, um euch eine möglichst internationale, bzw. interkulturelle Erfahrung zu bieten, welche es gleichzeitig erlaubt, Transferable Skills zu erwerben.

Die Auszeichnungen für die Innovative Lehre gehen dieses Jahr an:

· Helmut Loukota & Belisa Ferreira Liotti für die LV „Simulated Tax Treaties with Brazil”

· Lejla Atagan & Magdalena Berecki-Pernkopf für die LV „Interkulturelle Kompetenz: Kommunikation im interkulturellen Umfeld“
Department für Fremdsprachliche Wirtschaftskommunikation

· Barbara Sporn & Bernhard Böhm für die LV „Business Planning and Performance Management“
Department of Strategy and Innovation

· Anett Hermann für die LV „Praxisprojekt” im Rahmen der SBWL Diversitätsmanagement [(In)Visible Women in Social Sciences and Social Work]

Dear students, 

We are pleased to inform you about the winners of the Excellent and Innovative Teaching Awards 2022. By nominating teachers, you are playing a key role in the selection process for the Excellent Teaching Award. Once again, more than 3,300 students took the opportunity to nominate dedicated and motivated teachers at WU. Based on your nominations and justifications, the course evaluation results and syllabi, an independent jury selected ten excellent teachers who create optimal conditions for learning through their outstanding teaching.

Additionally to the Excellent Teaching Award, the prizes for Innovative Teaching are also awarded each year. In 2022, the Innovative Teaching Award focused on "International Teaching and Learning". In this sense, the awards were given to teaching concepts that use innovative teaching and learning methods to offer an international or intercultural experience, which also allows students to acquire transferable skills.
