FutureGEN: Data Navigator launch event (12 May 2021)
Dear colleagues, We are passing on below the details for an upcoming event the European Centre is hosting as part of the FutureGEN project (https://futuregen.euro.centre.org/ <https://futuregen.euro.centre.org/>) to introduce the Data Navigator. The Data Navigator is a publicly available website where we will display information on trends in gender inequalities in care and health across European regions. Please feel free to circulate this within your network to those that may be interested. Hope to see you there! *Launch Event: Data Navigator* Date: 12 May 2021 Time: 16:00- 17:00 CET (Vienna) How are health inequalities between men and women progressing? Is the gender gap in informal caregiving for older people narrowing? These are a just a few questions that the Data Navigator seeks to answer. The FutureGEN team is pleased to present the Data Navigator, an open-access online tool that compares gender and socioeconomic differences in health and long-term care use for community-dwelling older people (aged 65+ years) in Europe over time. In this webinar, the FutureGEN team will introduce the Data Navigator and discuss its usefulness in research and advocacy. This introduction will be followed by special input from Sounding Board members of FutureGEN: Eileen Rocard (OECD), Stecy Yghemonos (Eurocarers) and Francesca Bettio (University of Siena). Participants will have time to ask questions at the end. Registration for the event is now open.
