Madam, Sir, dear Colleagues, dear Members, It is my privilege to remind you of the first guest in the joint spring- program of the Sonnenfels Center and the Center for Economic Analysis of Law It is Edgardo Buscaglia He will talk on Legal & Economic Vacuums in the Expansion of Organized Crime: An International Jurimetric Perspective Thursday, April 27, 2017 14 - 16 hrs Venue: Seminar, Schenkenstraße 4, 2nd floor, 1010 Vienna Professor Dr. Edgardo Buscaglia is presently a Senior Scholar in Law and Economics at Columbia University (USA), the Director of the International Law & Economics of Development Center and a Visiting Professor at the National University of Buenos Aires -Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires- & Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina). Dr. Edgardo Buscaglia also has a vast field experience since 1991 in providing public policy advice to governments and civil societies in 114 countries focused on counteracting/preventing complex economic transnational crimes in, for example, Afghanistan, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Ukraine and Yemen. Prof. Dr. Edgardo Buscaglia's published peer-reviewed articles since 1991 focused on the "law & economics of development" and specifically within the economic and legal analysis of judicial reforms to counteract transnational organized crime and private / public sector corruption.
