Among other things, it focuses on the transition to a sustainable economy, the transformation of global supply chains and global competition for raw materials that are a prerequisite for a more digitalized and “green” economy. The report is based on data from the fourth round of the Life in Transition Survey, a household survey conducted in 2022 and 2023. The aim was to identify trends in how the above-mentioned global upheavals are reflected in so-called “small transitions” such as career changes, changes in physical and mental health, the renovation of homes - and even changes in people's life satisfaction. After opening remarks by Director General Harald Waiglein, EBRD Chief Economist Beata Javorcik will present key findings from the Transition Report 2023-24 at the Ministry of Finance. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion. The event will be held in English.
