Was Sie vor dem Systemumstieg beachten sollten und was danach neu ist · Vor dem Systemumstieg Ihre persönliche Entlehnhistorie in Ihrem Bibliothekskonto wird nicht in das neue System übernommen. Eine Anleitung, wie Sie die Daten selbst sichern können, finden Sie auf unserer Webseite<https://www.wu.ac.at/bibliothek/ueber-die-bib/neues-bibliothekssystem/>. Letzter Möglicher Zeitpunkt zur Sicherung der Daten ist Mittwoch, 26.07.2017. Aktive Entlehnungen, Vormerkungen und als Favoriten gespeicherte Medien werden selbstverständlich in das neue System übernommen. · Nach dem Systemumstieg Aus datenschutzrechtlichen Gründen wird im neuen System Liste Ihrer bisherigen Entlehnungen nicht mehr gespeichert. Drei Monate, nachdem Sie ein Buch zurückgegeben haben, wird es aus der Entlehnhistorie entfernt. Sie sollten daher regelmäßig die Entlehnhistorie sichern. For instructions on backing up your data yourself, please see our website. The deadline for backing up your data is Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Active loans, holds placed on media, media saved as favorites, saved search queries, and alerts will be transferred to the new system. · After the transition For data protection reasons, the new system will no longer save lists of media you have previously borrowed. Three months after returning the media, the item will be deleted from your borrowing history, so it’s important to save your borrowing history on a regular basis. Schließung Bibliothekszentrum & Umstieg auf neues Bibliothekssystem Aufgrund von Wartungs- und Reinigungsarbeiten ist das Bibliothekszentrum von Samstag, 29.07.2017 bis inklusive Dienstag, 15.08.2017 geschlossen. Die anderen Bibliotheken sind regulär geöffnet. Öffnungszeiten aller Bibliotheken am Campus<https://www.wu.ac.at/bibliothek/ueber-die-bib/oeffnungszeiten/> Elektronische Ressourcen Datenbanken<https://www.wu.ac.at/bibliothek/recherche/datenbanken/>, E-Books<https://www.wu.ac.at/bibliothek/recherche/buecher/> und E-Journals<https://www.wu.ac.at/bibliothek/recherche/zeitschriften/e-journals/> können von WU-Angehörigen uneingeschränkt genutzt werden. Im Zuge dessen kommt es zu Serviceunterbrechungen bei der Entlehnung und Bestellung von Bibliotheksbüchern. Informationen zum neuen Bibliothekssystem erhalten Sie in einem separaten E-Mail. Entlehnung · Die Selbstverbuchungsgeräte werden außer Betrieb sein, eine Entlehnung von Büchern ist daher nicht möglich. Rückgabe · Der Rückgabeautomat im Bibliothekszentrum wird außer Betrieb sein. Sustainability Challenge 2017 - Bewerbung noch bis 7.7. möglich

Liebe Studierende, die Bewerbung für die 8. Sustainability Challenge<http://www.rce-vienna.at/sustainabilitychallenge/> ist noch bis diesen Freitag, 7.7.2017, möglich - die interdisziplinäre LV wird gemeinsam von WU, TU, BOKU und Uni Wien abgehalten und bietet eine spannende Gelegenheit gemeinsam mit Studierenden anderer Studienrichtungen und Partnerunternehmen (wie z.B. Bank Austria, Spar, Verbund) konkrete Projekte zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit zu realisieren. Der Themenschwerpunkt des 8. Jahrgangs der Sustainability Challenge liegt auf nachhaltiger Stadtentwicklung und den SDGs: "Nachhaltigkeit findet Stadt. Die SDGs als Chance für urbanen Wandel?" Die Sustainability Challenge dauert zwei Semester (WS 17/18 und SS 18) und beginnt im Oktober 2017. Zwei Tracks werden angeboten: Service Learning und Start-Up. Beim Service Learning arbeiten Studierende zusammen mit Unternehmen an konkreten Nachhaltigkeitsprojekten. Im Start-Up-Track werden Studierende dabei unterstützt, ihre eigene unternehmerische Idee für eine zukunftsfähige Stadt zu verwirklichen. Den theoretischen Input dazu liefern die vier teilnehmenden Universitäten: In Einheiten an WU, BOKU, TU und Uni Wien beschäftigen sich Lehrende aller Universitäten mit Fragen zu ökologischer Ökonomie, Klimawandel, nachhaltigem Bauen und sozial-ökologischen Politiken. An der WU Wien werden für die Teilnahme an der Sustainability Challenge 6 ECTS vergeben und die LV wird als freies Wahlfach angerechnet. Masterstudierende aller Studienrichtungen (und auch besonders motivierte Bachelorstudierende) sind herzlich eingeladen, sich bis zum 7.7. 2017 zu bewerben!
