Dear WU students, An opportunity for a fun and intellectually enriching break after the exam week --> WU Competence Center for Sustainability Transformation and Responsibility (STaR), together with ÖH WU, oikos Vienna, and oessfo invite you to ChangEDucation: 6th annual WU Sustainable Transformation Day<https://www.wu.ac.at/star/events/6-wu-nachhaltigkeitstag?no_cache=1#c525145>, which will take place on May 14 (10:00-17:00), at WU's Learning Center. Come join us and bring a friend! Please also share this with anyone who you think may find the event interesting (non-WU participants are welcome!). We seek to promote cross-campus and beyond-campus, local and international collaboration, and we believe this year's thematic focus on Sustainable Development Goal 4 - Quality Education - goes far beyond our university's walls. For the first time ever, half of the workshops as well as the panel discussion (16:00-17:00 FS1) will be held in English! All details regarding the program and the registration (the latter is only needed for workshops; you do not need to register for the open forum or the panel discussion) can be found on our website: https://www.wu.ac.at/star/events/6-wu-nachhaltigkeitstag?no_cache=1#c525145 Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wu.starcenter We look forward to greeting you on May 14. First Generation Students

Alex und Johannes von der Wiener Gruppe von arbeiterkind.de Kontakt: wien(a)arbeiterkind.de First Generation Student Group Meeting Are you the first one in your family to go to university? Do you sometimes feel “out of place” at university? Are you considering going for a Master’s Degree or a PhD, but you are not sure if you can afford it? Does academia appear to be an “ivory tower” where people speak a different language? Do you ever wonder what to do with your degree? Would you like to talk about these questions with other first generation students? If so, we might be able to help. We are former and current first generation students who are familiar the questions and challenges that first generation students have to deal with. We are students and academics who want to share their experience and encourage as well as support you on your way to and through university. Your social background should not affect the success and the joy of studying at university! We are thus organising regular meetings for first generation students in Vienna. Our next meeting will take place on May, 6th, at 7pm in the Café Anzengruber (Schleifmühlgasse 19, 1040 Wien). The dates for our subsequent meetings are June, 17th, 7pm; July, 15th, 2019, 7pm; and September, 23rd, 2019. These will also take place at the Café Anzengruber. If you plan to come along, please let us know a few day in advance by sending an email to wien(a)arbeiterkind.de This is important in case we have to change where we meet. You can find further information (in German) here: http://www.arbeiterkind.de/ We hope to see you! Alex and Johannes Vienna Group, arbeiterkind.de Contact: wien(a)arbeiterkind.de
