um international eine Rolle zu spielen, muss eine Universität bekannt und vergleichbar sein. Weltweit eingesetzte Qualitätssiegel und unabhängige Rankings bieten dazu eine gute Möglichkeit. Die WU ist stolz darauf, zu Studienbeginn zwei weitere beträchtliche Erfolge in diesen Kategorien zu verzeichnen.
Nach einem intensiven und mehrjährigen Prozess wurde die WU im August von AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) für fünf Jahre akkreditiert. Damit sind wir in den Kreis von weltweit nur 72 führenden Hochschulen aufgestiegen, die eine dreifache Akkreditierung (AACSB, EQUIS und AMBA) erworben haben. Das sind weniger als 1% aller Wirtschaftsuniversitäten und Business Schools weltweit. Im deutschsprachigen Raum verfügt lediglich die Mannheim Business School über diese Auszeichnung.
AACSB steht für Qualität der Lehrprogramme an der WU sowie die Qualifikation des wissenschaftlichen Personals. Wir konnten nachweisen, dass wir in den letzten Jahren intensiv an der internationalen Kompatibilität des Lehrplans, der Lehrziele und der Lehrinhalte gearbeitet haben. Die Lehrenden sind hervorragend qualifiziert, um beste Voraussetzungen für eine ausgezeichnete Ausbildung zu liefern. Studierende erhalten einen Abschluss, der damit international noch sichtbarer wird. Die Chancen am Arbeitsmarkt steigen. Die WU wird insgesamt attraktiver.

Mit unserem englischsprachigen Studienprogramm haben wir uns im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um neun Plätze nach vorne katapultiert und weisen mit dem ausgezeichneten 13. Platz von 80 gereihten Programmen das beste Ergebnis seit Beginn der Teilnahme vor. Damit gehören wir zu den besten Programmen Europas und befinden uns in der Gesellschaft angesehener Institutionen wie der ESADE Business School oder der Mannheim Business School, die hinter der WU rangiert.

Dear WU students,
In order to play a strong role in the international context, a university needs international renown and comparability. Global quality indicators and independent rankings are great instruments for achieving these goals. Right in time for the start of the new semester, WU is proud to announce two further successful achievements in this context.
Following an intensive process that required several years of focused work, WU was awarded a five-year accreditation by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) in August. WU is now part of a group of 72 leading institutions worldwide - fewer than 1% of all business schools and universities - that have been awarded the triple crown accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA) for business schools and universities. Apart from WU, Mannheim Business School is the only other triple-accredited institution in the entire German-speaking region.
The AACSB accreditation testifies to the high quality of WU's academic programs and the excellent qualifications of its faculty. We were able to document the international compatibility of our curricula and our program and learning objectives. Our students receive an excellent education in business, economics, and related fields. Thanks to WU's triple crown accreditation, our students can now earn a degree with even stronger international visibility, which will further improve their career prospects. The triple crown accreditation will make WU an even more attractive university overall.

Apart from the triple crown accreditation, WU has also achieved an excellent position in the Financial Times Global Masters in Management 2015 ranking with its Master Program in International Management/CEMS, confirming the program's status as one of the best in Europe. The English-taught program moved up no fewer than nine places from last year, coming in at place 13 out of a total of 80 programs ranked. This excellent position marks WU's best result ever since joining the ranking. With this result, WU's Master Program in International Management/CEMS now ranks among Europe's leading management programs. It puts WU in the same league as renowned schools like ESADE Business School and Mannheim Business School, which now ranks below WU. The result places WU's Master Program in International Management/CEMS among the top four master programs in management in the entire German-speaking area.
