Bachelor-Sponsion im LC Forum / Commencement ceremony for graduates of the bachelor’s programs in the LC Forum

Liebe Studierende, am Donnerstag, 7. Dezember 2017 findet die nächste Bachelor Sponsion im LC Forum statt. Die Aufbauarbeiten, Proben sowie die Feierlichkeiten können eventuell in der Bibliothek wahrgenommen werden. Für ungestörtes Arbeiten haben Sie die Möglichkeit auf die Lernzonen im Teaching Center sowie in den Department Gebäuden auszuweichen. Wir ersuchen Sie von 14 – 18 Uhr nur folgende Ein- und Ausgänge zu benutzen: · Hintereingang Nord (hinter Festsaal 1 und 2) inkl. dem Lift, der sich dort befindet · Seiteneingang Ost bei ZBP auf Ebene -1 inkl. dem Lift, der zur Bibliothek führt bzw. von dort kommt In diesem Zeitraum sind gesperrt: · Forum · Rampen · Ausgang des Liftes auf Rampe im Forum Diese Ein- und Ausgänge sind geöffnet. Wir ersuchen Sie jedoch, diese von 14 – 18 Uhr so weit wie möglich zu meiden: · Haupteingang · Lift und Ausgang hinter Infopult · Seiteneingang Ost Forum bei WU Merchandising Shop (neben Raum LC0.004 „Galerie“) · Zugang zum Library Café Wir bitten um Ihr Verständnis und danken vielmals im Voraus! Das Team der WU Studieninformation ******************************** Dear students, The next commencement ceremony for graduates of our bachelor’s programs will be held in the LC Forum on Thursday, December 7, 2017. The necessary set-up work, rehearsals, and the ceremony itself will most likely be audible in the library. If you need a quiet place to work, please use the independent study areas in the Teaching Center or the department buildings. Please use only the following entrances and exits from 2:00-6:00 pm on Friday: · North rear entrance (behind Ceremonial Halls 1 and 2) and the elevator located there · East side entrance by the ZBP Career Center on level -1, and the elevator to and from the library The following areas are closed during this time: · Forum · Ramps · Elevator access to the ramp in the Forum The following entrances and exits will be open, but we would appreciate it if you could avoid using them as much as possible between 2:00 – 6:00 pm: · Main entrance · Elevator and exit behind the information desk · East side entrance to the Forum, by the WU Merchandising Shop (next to room LC0.004) · Indoor entrance to the Library Café We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation! Einladung zur Nominierung - Preis für Exzellente Lehre 2018 / Invitation for participation - Excellent Teaching Award 2018

Please scroll down for the English version Liebe Studierende, es freut uns sehr, dass wir Sie auch heuer wieder einladen dürfen Ihre Stimmen für die Nominierung in der Exzellenten Lehre abzugeben. Haben Sie in der letzten Zeit an einer Lehrveranstaltung teilgenommen, von der Sie so richtig begeistert und motiviert waren? Hat Sie ein/e Lehrender/e mit seiner/ihrer Art Wissen zu vermitteln und Sie im Lernprozess zu unterstützen, überzeugt? Wollen Sie das Engagement diese/s/r Lehrenden sichtbar machen? Dann nominieren Sie die/den Lehrende/n, welcher aus Ihrer Sicht exzellente Leistungen in der Lehre erbringt. Um Lehrende für den Preis der Exzellenten Lehre vorzuschlagen haben Sie ab 01.12.2017 bis 20.12.2017 die Möglichkeit über Learn@WU jeweils zwei Lehrende zu nominieren. In den letzten beiden Jahren gab es mit insgesamt über 6000 Nominierungen eine hohe Studierendenbeteiligung und auch heuer freuen wir uns auf eine Vielzahl an Vorschlägen von Ihnen. Nach Ablauf der Nominierungsfrist werden die Nominierungen an eine Jury mit Expert/inn/en und Vertreter/inne/n aus dem Haus übergeben, die über die Vergabe des Preises entscheidet. Der Preis für Exzellente Lehre wird dann im Rahmen der WU Awards am 14.06.2018 überreicht. Zur Verleihung, wie auch zum Sommerfest im Anschluss daran, sind Sie als Studierende herzlich eingeladen. Über das Ergebnis der Wahl der Preisträger und Preisträgerinnen werden Sie selbstverständlich informiert. Bei Fragen zum Nominierungsprozess oder generell zur Exzellenten Lehre wenden Sie sich bitte an lehrenundlernen(a)wu.ac.at<mailto:lehrenundlernen@wu.ac.at>. Wir laden Sie herzlich ein, sich an der Nominierung zu beteiligen und dazu beizutragen, dass exzellente Lehre an der WU sichtbar gemacht und honoriert wird. Have you recently participated in a course that really inspired and motivated you? Did a teacher convince you with his/her way of teaching and support you in your learning process? Do you want to make the commitment of these teachers visible? Then nominate teachers who show particular commitment to teaching for the Excellent Teaching Award! You can nominate up to two teachers via Learn@WU from December 1st, 2017 to December 20th. Considering the high participation of 6000 votes over the past two years, we are looking forward to receiving numerous nominations this year again. After the nomination deadline has expired, an expert panel (consisting of experts and representatives from WU) will decide on the 2018 winners. The Excellent Teaching Awards will be presented to the awardees in the course of the WU Awards ceremony on June 14th, together with the other teaching and research awards. You will be informed about the selection of the awardees and invited to the event.
