Digitalization has changed the way businesses operate today and how they will be run in the future. Differences may lie in consumer behavior, firm behavior, and in the modes of competition. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on microeconomics with a specific focus on the digital economy. Candidates are expected to have established an international reputation as a researcher in their field. Depending on the candidate's academic credentials, the employment contract can be concluded either as a permanent employment contract or as a fixed-term employment contract with the option of a permanent extension. Dear all, As most of you might already know from the newsletters and e-mails via IUSSP, EAPS and others, the Call for Papers for the Vienna Yearbook of Population Research (VYPR) 2021 Special Issue on “Demographic Aspects of Human Wellbeing” is open now. Due to the recent global developments and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on all our academic and daily lives, we decided to extend the deadline for submission until 31 May 2020. The VYPR is an open-access journal that has been published annually by the Vienna Institute of Demography (VID) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences since 2003. It is addressing population trends as well as a broad range of theoretical and methodological issues in population research. Dear colleagues, COVID-19 is causing serious health, social and economic challenges, several of which are directly related to demographic factors. While the initial efforts focus on slowing the spread of the pandemic and mitigating its immediate impact, there are likely to be significant longer-term demography-related consequences. The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital is dedicating it’s annual conference to the COVID-19 pandemic and it‘s demographic aspects. The conference offers a scientific platform for presenting and discussing in a timely fashion the contributions demographic research can make in resolving the present and future challenges that arise from the pandemic. Innovations- und Strukturökonomik der Universität Bremen und das Institut für Makroökonomie und Konjunkturforschung der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, freuen uns, erneut die Summer School Theorie und Praxis ökonomischer Politikberatung <https://www.noebb.de/summer-school-politikberatung-2020/> anzukündigen. Die Summer School findet vom 7. bis 9. September 2020 an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum statt und richtet sich an Promovierende und Masterstudierende.
