Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, bei uns im Dachverband der Sozialversicherungsträger ist derzeit eine unbefristete Vollzeit-Stelle als Ökonom:in in der Abteilung Innovation medizinischer Versorgung und Arzneimittel (IMVA) ausgeschrieben. Vorkenntnisse im Bereich der Gesundheitsökonomie sind natürlich von Vorteil, aber keine Voraussetzung. Das zentrale Aufgabengebiet der Abteilung ist, sich strukturiert mit Innovationen im medizinischen Bereich und bei Arzneimitteln zu befassen. Die Abteilung leistet daher Grundlagenarbeit im Bereich digitaler Gesundheitsanwendungen und innovativer Arzneimittel. Digitalization has changed the way businesses operate today and how they will be run in the future. Differences may lie in consumer behavior, firm behavior, and in the modes of competition. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on microeconomics with a specific focus on the digital economy. Candidates are expected to have established an international reputation as a researcher in their field. The Contribution of Medically Assisted Reproduction to Total, Age- and Parity-Specific Fertility in Italy Agnese Vitali, University of Trento Abstract: Countries characterized by low and late fertility offer a unique test ground for studying the contribution of MAR to fertility rates. This study estimates the contribution of Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR) to fertility in Italy - the country with the latest maternal age at first birth and the highest share of births to mothers aged 40+ in Europe. Relying on a unique combination of administrative data sources -the Certificate of Delivery Care Registry dataset, the Register of Live Births to the Resident Population, and the resident population by age and sex- we calculate the age-specific fertility rates (total and by parity) for births conceived via MAR and those conceived naturally. These rates are then utilized to assess the contribution of MAR to total, age- and parity-specific fertility, as well as to the mean maternal age at childbearing. This study is the first estimation of its kind for Italy About the presenter: Agnese Vitali is a Professor of Demography at the University of Trento, where she coordinates the PhD in Sociology and Social Research. Her research deals with topics in social demography, particularly relating to families, fertility and gender issues.

Using rich administrative data, we show that these patterns are driven by the occupational demands of teaching-particularly high emotional labor and intense social interaction-rather than selection into the profession. Mental health outcomes vary substantially across schools, with large differences in teacher absenteeism, diagnoses, and prescription drug use. These differences are not well explained by observable school characteristics, but they correlate strongly with student-reported measures of classroom functioning and well-being. Leveraging a quasi-experimental mover design and event-study framework, we provide causal evidence that teachers' mental health responds to school-specific environments: teachers who move from low-stress to high-stress schools experience a deterioration in mental health outcomes. The role involves working closely with Prof. Bernhard Kasberger, PhD on the DFG-funded research project “Strategic Uncertainty in Market Design.” The successful candidate will conduct research in (applied) microeconomic theory, particularly in market design and game theory.
