Sehr geehrte Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die Schumpeter Gesellschaft lädt Sie sehr herzlich zur Schumpeter Lecture 2022 mit dem französischen Ökonomen Philippe Aghion (College de France und London School of Economics) am Montag, 27. Juni 2022, ab 18:00 Uhr in den Räumlichkeiten der Oesterreichischen Nationalbank (Otto-Wagner-Platz 3, 1090 Wien) ein. Mit seinen Ko-Autor*innen Céline Antonin und Simon Bunel widmet sich Aghion in seinem jüngst erschienen Buch The Power of Creative Destruction (Harvard University Press, 2021) den großen Fragen unserer Zeit wie Klimawandel, steigender Ungleichheit und Pandemie. In seinem Werk hält er ein Plädoyer für die kreative Zerstörung als Motor der Innovation und letztlich als Antwort auf die multiplen Krisen unserer Zeit. The call is open to all topics in social sciences. This call also provides an opportunity/funding to work with microdata of the recent Austria Microdata Center at Statistik Austria, which will start its operations on July 1. We would encourage you to look at the available data there. Furthermore, the call also invites research that wants to work with other large data sets.
